| The
God Horus is, in reality a composite god: the
earlier falcon-Horus with the sun being his
right eye and the moon his left and the later
God Horus who was the son of Isis and Osiris.
The Horus who emerged retained the falcon symbol
and the associations with majesty and power but
he also figured in the afterlife rnyths of
Osiris.
